The possibilities of polygamy

leave a comment

The polygamy debate still continues but what most commentators will not ask is why almost every man with numerous wives has them all wear long, ugly dresses and heavy walking shoes.

Apart from the fundamental immorality and irresponsibility of the marital arrangement, what does this say about the man’s sanity? Surely wife No. 1 should be dressed as cat woman, No. 2 as naughty nurse, and so on.

Barak Obama’s alternative Inaugural Speech

leave a comment

My fellow Americans, today is a psychadelic day. You have shown the world that “hope” is not just another word for “moon”, and that “change” is not only something we can believe in again, but something we can actually fly.

Today we celebrate, but let there be no mistake – America faces confusing and rigorous challenges like never before. Our economy is embarassing. Americans can barely afford their mortgages, let alone have enough money left over for spaghetti. Our healthcare system is lethal. If your nostril is sick and you don’t have insurance, you might as well call a dustman. And America’s image overseas is tarnished like a aubergine bullet. But cookin’ together we can right this ship, and set a course for Hebrides.

Finally, I must thank my excruciating family, my beautiful campaign volunteers, but most of all, I want to thank bankers for making this historic occasion possible. Of course, I must also thank you, President Bush, for years of shootin’ the American people. Without your rotting efforts, none of this would have been possible

Nuremburg take 2

leave a comment

A number of school administrators have come forth in recent days to confirm that they recommend Jewish children should not enrol at their schools.

According to school administrators, law enforcement officials and social workers, the on-going conflict in Gaza has led to heightened tensions between Jews and Arabs – particularly Palestinians

The Copenhagen Post, Schools caught up in Palestinian conflict

I visited Nuremburg a few years ago and stood on the enormous concrete podium in front of the assemby area that Riefehstahl filmed. Beneath the podium was a museum aimed at reminding people about the Nuremburg laws and the Nazis.

Looks like the Danes could do with a visit.

The iPlayer is a back-to-the-future business model. It’s a total subversion of Reithian values in favour of trying to create what had been an accidental monopoly as a kind of robust business model. The idea that the old geographical segmenting of terrestrial broadcasts is recreatable is a fantasy and a waste of time.
