I went to see Cornershop play at the Sheperds Bush Empire (probably back in the ICOS days). The gig was fantastic and ended with a song that was at least 20 mins long. It started off with the whole band, then one by one they left until only the two drummers were left on stage. They were on thier own for at least 10 minutes, and it bought the show to an amazing climax.
Absolutely brilliant.
Then a couple of years later, new years eve, the main man (I forget his name) was sat at the table next to me in the pub I was in (owned by Mick Hucknall’s brother) all on his own.
It was a shame, made worse by the fact I was too shy to bother him and invite him to join us.
