Tom Coates and that logo

And can I just say that £400,000 is a reasonable cost for a medium sized team of people for a year doing skilled work.

Tom Coates defends the London Olympics logo

This remark is irrefutable, isn’t it?

Of course, it begs the question as to whether in fact the team was sufficiently small, doesn’t define what medium means in this context, whether a team of any size larger than one person should have been necessary to produce a logoand Coates doesn’t attempt to argue that the work done was, in fact, skilled.

Apart from that it’s a useful contribution to the debate. Almost half a million pounds’ worth, don’t you think?
