Something being overlooked

Three judges at Scotland’s supreme civil court issued a declaration that the blanket ban on convicted prisoners voting was incompatible with their human rights.

BBC, Court rules on prison voting ban

Ok then, and this:

The move follows a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights which found a blanket ban on prisoners voting was a breach of their human rights.

As if

The Seventh Annual Weblog Awards are running again… I think it’s fair to say that it has not been a good year for plasticbag.org and that I’ve not written anywhere near as much stuff or at such high quality. So go vote for someone else!

Looking into things further

According to a campaigning group, staff at the Grand Canyon are not allowed to officially comment on the of the geological feature Apparently, the reason is that the geologic age is way in excess of the apparently 6000 year old age of the planet according to Creationists. Obama’s Website

I was in the States when I first saw Barak Obama, addressing the Democratic National Convention before they adopted John Kerry. He wowed the crowd then and was clearly more charismatic than Kerry.

So, now he’s after the Democratic nomination himself (presumably running against Hilary Clinton and John Edwards for the chance to tilt at the presidency) I thought I’d check out his biography on his website.

Sorry, no.

Walters Photo Video are excellent

The highest praise for Walters Photo Video. Helen bought a Nikon camera ’system’ bag from them via their website. Order placed late Thursday night, goods received Saturday morning. All that and very good value too.
