Having trouble with mod_rewrite? URL rewriting in your .htacess file not working? Check that your httpd.conf file directives haven’t disabled .htaccess processing.
I wanted to use rewrite so that a messy URL like
www.somewhere.com/about.php?lang=en
could be rewritten as:
www.somewhere.com/en/about
but my .htaccess file’s rewriting didn’t work on my testing server though it did work fine on the production server. The relevant part of .htaccess was:

BitTorrent [Wikipedia: BitTorrent] was invented by Bram Cohen [Wikipedia: Bram Cohen] and addresses the problem of a large number of clients trying to download large files from a single client or hub. BitTorrent is a mechanism for turning the disadvantage of the web’s thin client / fat server model into the advantage of a peer-to-peer model.

Listened to Eric Clapton playing a Robert Johnson song on Jools Hooland’s New Year show. The song was, ‘Stop Breakin’ Down Blues’ and Helen turned off tv and put on the original track by Robert Johnson.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition produces a fantastic exhibition every year at the Natural History Museum (London). Helen liked ‘Giant Amazon waterlilies’ by Theo Allofs. I liked Anup Shah’s photos particularly.
